The layout depicts a rural scene somewhere in ‘Middle England’ with a farm and a working windmill, a country station and a small goods yard. The layout has evolved over several years out of the need to have somewhere to run the N gauge stock that belonged to the owner’s father, which has now been added to. The owner’s husband, Stephen has done most of the building and wiring of the layout with a little help from friends. Maureen did all of the scenery and landscaping, the buildings are mostly Lyddle End, the windmill being adapted by Stephen with a slow running motor fitted to the sails.
