DARTFORD 2009

The planning of the 2009 exhibition is at an early stage, the date and veune are confirmed but all other information is provisional.

Temple Hill Primary School, St Edmunds Road, Temple Hill, Dartford, Kent, DA1 5ND.

Saturday 24th January - 10.00am to 5.00pm

Sunday 25th January - 10.00am to 4.30pm

Directions (by Car)

M25 Northbound

M25 to Junction 2, at the roundabout go straight across but remain in the left hand lane taking the exit signed Dartford A225.
At the roundabout at the top of the slip road take first exit onto Princes Road (Esso garage on your left).
At the next roundabout (with footbridge over) take the third exit (turning right) onto Park Road.
At the 'T' junction (mini-roundabout) turn right onto East Hill then turn left at the next roundabout onto St. Vincent's Road (church on corner).
At the 'T' junction (mini-roundabout) turn right onto Littlebrook Manor Way.
Then take the first left into Farnol Road and first left again into St Edmund’s Road (being careful not to turn into the flats just before St Edmund’s Road).
The school is about 500 yards on your left.
 
M25 Southbound

Come over Dartford River Crossing (QE2 Bridge) to toll booths keeping to left hand lanes. Take Junction 1B and at the top of the slip road take the 3rd exit signpost for Dartford (Esso garage on your left).
At the next roundabout (with footbridge over) take the third exit (turning right) onto Park Road.
At the 'T' junction (mini-roundabout) turn right onto East Hill then turn left at the next roundabout onto St. Vincent's Road (church on corner).
At the 'T' junction (mini-roundabout) turn right onto Littlebrook Manor Way.
Then take the first left into Farnol Road and first left again into St Edmund’s Road (being careful not to turn into the flats just before St Edmund’s Road).
The school is about 500 yards on your left.

A2 London or Coast Bound

Leave the A2 at the Dartford Tunnel/M25 Junction. Following the signs for Dartford A225.
At the top of the slip road take the 3rd exit signpost for Dartford (Esso garage on your left).
At the next roundabout (with footbridge over) take the third exit (turning right) onto Park Road.
At the 'T' junction (mini-roundabout) turn right onto East Hill then turn left at the next roundabout onto St. Vincent's Road (church on corner).

Travelling by Bus.

Temple Hill is served by the Arriva Kent Fast Track service which leaves Dartford town centre every ten minutes on Saturdays and every 30 minutes on Sunday. Bus stops can be found by following the signs from Dartford train station.

Bill Murphy
1932 – 2002

In tribute to the memory of Bill Murphy, former exhibition manager and honorary vice president, Erith Model Railway Society has introduced the Bill Murphy Memorial Shield, which is awarded to the layout that in the judges’ opinion is the best layout at the exhibition. The shield was presented for the first time in 2003 and the list of previous winners is shown below: -
